The William Brennan Institute for Labor Studies (http://www.unomaha.edu/wbils/) seeks candidates for a full-time career track position on the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) campus. This is a non-tenured position and will include a two-year renewable contract. The job description is part of the American Association of University Professors’ bargaining unit. Job Description: 1. Teach labor education (non-credit seminars, short courses and conferences) both on- and off-campus in relevant areas, including: arbitration, collective bargaining (private and public sector), contract administration and grievance handling, human rights, labor communications, labor and employment law, labor history, leadership development, political economy, public policy issues relevant to labor unions, strategic planning, internal organizing, workplace safety and health, and other workplace/union issues; 2. Design, write, and produce labor education materials including replicable curricula and instructional materials that take into account the instructional needs, abilities, interests and learning styles of the audiences served; 3. Coordinate, plan, recruit, and administer non-credit labor education seminars, short courses and conferences both on- and off-campus; 4. Develop and maintain close working relationships with local, state, regional and national labor organizations; and the Nebraska University community. 5. Frequently work weekends and evenings with travel/driving required throughout the state and region. For full description and application process, see the attached document.
