The University of Missouri seeks a collaborative educator to develop, teach and administer non-credit and credit labor studies engaged in applied research for trade union leaders in Missouri and other Midwestern states. Responsible for teaching labor education classes, conferences, and courses; developing training and curriculum materials; analyzing educational needs of labor organizations; conducting applied research; and ensuring effective administrative and service duties. In partnership with the MU School of Public Affairs this position will provide outreach efforts representing the MU Labor Education Program and MU Extension with labor organizations, apprentice programs, other labor-management organizations and community-based organizations throughout the state of Missouri. Extensive travel is required. This is a 12-month academic position. Appointment may be made on the non-tenure track with the Truman School of Public Affairs, subject to departmental and University approval.
