Faculty Position in Labor Education
Penn State, School of Labor and Employment Relations, University Park, PA
The School of Labor and Employment Relations at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty appointment at the Lecturer rank. The position will be a twelve-month appointment at the University Park campus and will include a three year renewable contract. Start date is negotiable.
This position will primarily involve developing, administering, and teaching in the School’s labor education program. Because the program is newly reinstituted, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to help design and create a labor education program for the 21st century.
Candidates should have considerable experience working with unions to design, administer, and teach a range of education programs. Candidates should also be able to contribute to at least one of the other School programs, including online and/or residential degree programs in labor and employment relations and organizational leadership or the School’s Center for Global Workers’ Rights.
Applicants should possess a masters degree in a relevant field, however a Ph.D. or J.D. is preferred.
The School of Labor and Employment Relations is a multidisciplinary program with large residential and online bachelor’s and master’s degrees, strong research programs, and growing outreach initiatives.
