Employment Opportunity: USLAW National Coordinator
USLAW is a national network of unions, state labor federations, labor councils and other labor organizations, founded in January, 2003 to organize opposition within the labor movement to the impending invasion of Iraq. Its mission is to organize opposition within the labor movement to the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, and more generally to oppose the militarized foreign policy of the United States. USLAW has a paid staff of three: a full time National Coordinator, three-quarters time National Organizer and a half-time Administrative Coordinator.
The position of National Coordinator has been held by Michael Eisenscher since USLAW was founded. He has announced his desire to vacate this full time position in anticipation of his semi-retirement. He will continue to work in a part time capacity or as a volunteer once his replacement is hired.
USLAW’s National Coordinator is at the center of all of this work and has principal responsibility for its development and coordination.
